The Toddler program at Imani Montessori School is for children ages 3 to 4 years. In this mixed-age environment children spend time in the same classroom getting to know each other and their teachers well.
Toddlers work independently, or in small groups, and are introduced to each material at the appropriate time for their individual development. Exploring is a common behavior at this stage as children are discovering their world.
The activities for children in this age group are built around the children’s limitless curiosity and their natural desire to push boundaries. Children learn to count, discover writing and start building toward following simple instructions, writing, and the potty.
